Thoughtful renewal for a welcoming venue

This project sees the transformation of an existing hotel and bistro into a more contemporary and welcoming destination, delivered in close collaboration with our client. With construction currently underway, the vision is to refresh and elevate the venue while thoughtfully working with much of the existing structure.

Rather than starting from scratch, the approach focuses on refining and enhancing what’s already there. The public bar façade and overhead display are being renewed while retaining the existing bar structure, bar top, and back bar. The TAB area is also being refreshed through new bench detailing and wall finishes, carefully integrated with the current framework. A new bistro counter, updated signage, and suspended planters introduce a modern layer to the dining experience.

Throughout the venue, new indoor and outdoor furniture selections — alongside retained pieces — create a cohesive and comfortable setting. Feature lighting has been introduced to complement the existing elements, while built-in garden beds and custom planters bring natural warmth and texture to the space.

The result will be a revitalised hotel and bistro that feels fresh, layered, and inviting — a contemporary update that respects the venue’s foundations while enhancing the overall guest experience.
