Modern, flexible workspace designed for collaboration

Stowe Australia’s new Brisbane office has been transformed into a modern, flexible workspace across two floors of their existing building. Having previously worked on their Sydney and Melbourne offices, Nx Studio was engaged to reimagine the space, creating an environment that reflects the company’s identity while supporting the way their teams work. With construction nearly complete, staff feedback has been positive, highlighting both the functionality and welcoming atmosphere of the new office.

Collaboration was central to the project. Working closely with Stowe Australia throughout, every element was considered — from the overall layout to finishes, furniture, and circulation. The challenge was to take two existing floors and create a cohesive, connected environment that could accommodate both day-to-day activity and larger gatherings, while reflecting Stowe’s brand and culture.

The reception and waiting area now leads naturally into an adjacent meeting suite, while the lobby features graphics that celebrate Stowe Australia’s history, and refreshed finishes in the stairwell and ground floor lobby connect visually to the level 1 reception. The kitchen and breakout space opens directly into the main workspace, allowing flexibility for team gatherings or casual collaboration, while still able to be closed off when needed. Existing bathrooms were fully refurbished, including an accessible facility off reception for client and contractor use.

The main office balances openness and functionality. Hot desks, sit-to-stand workstations, collaboration tables, and touchdown areas support agile ways of working, while new furniture and finishes add warmth and consistency throughout. The breakout area flows seamlessly into the open-plan workspace, encouraging connection and multifunctional use.

The result is a cohesive, agile, and welcoming office that supports Stowe Australia’s teams and reflects their culture. Close collaboration throughout the project ensured every detail was delivered with care, creating a space that works as hard as the people who use it.
