NX Studio is a boutique interior design and architecture studio working across commercial, hospitality and residential environments. Our holistic approach considers how the space looks, feels and functions, as well as the people who use it, the environment it sits within and how it will evolve over time. From spatial planning and architecture through to materials, lighting and the finer details, every element is considered as part of the whole.
Good design should be beautiful, but it also needs to work in the real world. Working in close collaboration with our clients and project teams ensures our solutions are thoughtful, practical and responsive to individual needs, personality and, importantly, budget. Looking beyond fleeting trends, longevity, materiality and sustainability are considered to create spaces with character, clarity and lasting relevance — because great design shouldn’t come with unnecessary stress.
Founded by Nicola in 2018 and shaped by nearly two decades of industry experience, NX Studio was created to move beyond the traditional corporate model and offer a more considered, authentic and personal approach to design.
Meaningful collaboration sits at the heart of the studio, working with people who appreciate good design, thoughtful solutions and spaces that feel as good as they function.

Meet the team

Nicola combines a love of nature with a thoughtful, purposeful approach to design. With close to two decades of experience, she has led high-end commercial and residential projects across Sydney and London, building expertise in concept development, technical design, planning, and project coordination.
Known for clear communication and careful delivery, Nicola works closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects run smoothly and are executed with precision. She is an Accredited Green Star Associate and is committed to sustainability and intentional design - creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional, and that genuinely support the way people live and work.
Outside the studio, Nicola enjoys time with family, being outdoors, and a daily yoga and meditation practice.

Lucy is a multidisciplinary designer who loves getting into the details—design, documentation, and the kind of thoughtful detailing that makes a space work beautifully in real life. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Diploma in Building Design, with experience across architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture.
Her project work spans everything from small residential designs to large public realm developments, including parks and planning, hospitality, commercial, and education projects. Lucy has worked with universities, local councils, state parks, and private clients, bringing the same care and curiosity to each brief, big or small.
She’s especially drawn to environmentally sustainable projects—developing tailored, practical solutions, using passive solar thinking, and creating flexible spaces that can shift and adapt as life (and needs) change.
